MISSOULA VOICES MONTANA VALUES

When I was 15, church was my home. I sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and felt like I belonged—until I began to understand who I really was. When a conservative pastor forced my truth into the open, the same scriptures that once comforted me were used to condemn me. But instead of breaking me, that pain gave me strength—to keep showing up, to keep believing in love, find an understanding of faith that is inclusive and to stand with others pushed to the margins. I ultimately found my voice again, a faith that is inclusive and a passion for advocacy.

I tell this story because it shaped how I see the world and why I’m running for office. It taught me that what truly holds communities together isn’t fear, but courage. Not division, but love. Not control, but dignity.

I’ve learned that the most powerful change happens when we choose to see one another’s humanity—especially across lines that are supposed to divide us. Whether it’s in faith, politics, or daily life, we can find common ground when we start from a place of respect and shared dignity.

I’m running to bring that spirit into public service. To help build a Montana where every person is seen, valued, and free to live authentically. Where our differences don’t weaken us—they make us stronger.

Love, in its truest form, has always been revolutionary. It’s what carried me through my hardest moments, and it’s what I believe can carry this state—and this country—toward something better.

Thank you all for being on this journey with me. I believe what makes me a strong candidate and will make me a successful officeholder isn’t just experience — it’s how I show up for people.
I’m a good listener who believes everyone deserves to be heard, even when we don’t agree. I’m practical and solutions-focused, willing to roll up my sleeves to tackle tough problems like affordable housing, houslessness, and protecting the Montana we know and love.
I’m accountable and honest — I say what I mean and follow through. Decades of leadership has taught me how to build teams, bring people together, and get results without forgetting who I am and where I came from.
Above all, I care deeply about my neighbors, my community, and leaving Montana better for the next generation. I think that combination of compassion, common sense, and commitment is what people want in their representative — and I’m ready to deliver it.
